Common questions
How do I restore my Premium purchase on a new device?
Open the app, go to Settings, and tap "Restore Purchases." Your Lifetime Unlock is tied to the Apple ID or Google account that bought it, so make sure the device is signed in to that account. Family Sharing members are covered automatically.
The app isn't speaking. What do I check?
First, check the device's ringer/silent switch and media volume — text-to-speech uses the media channel. Then make sure a voice is set in Settings. If it's still silent, restart the app and try again, and email us if it persists.
How do I reset my password or username?
Tap "Forgot Password?" or "Forgot Username?" on the login screen. A recovery email goes to the caregiver email on the account. Recovery codes expire after 30 minutes, so use them promptly.
How do I edit or hide cards?
Enter edit mode with the pencil icon, then tap any card to rename it, change its picture, or hide it. Hidden cards can always be brought back — nothing is deleted permanently unless you choose to.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Settings → Delete Account. Or email privacy@cottontailapp.com and we'll do it for you. Deletion is permanent and removes all data from our servers — see our Privacy Policy for details.
How do refunds work?
Purchases are processed by Apple and Google, so refunds go through them: report a problem at reportaproblem.apple.com (Apple) or through your Google Play order history. We aren't able to issue refunds directly.

Cottontail's roadmap is driven by what families ask for. If your child needs a word, a voice, a language, or a feature we don't have yet, tell us — we read everything.
