Delete your account & data

You can delete your Cottontail account and everything tied to it at any time. Here's how, whether or not you still have the app installed.

Have the app installed?

Delete right from the app

  1. Open Cottontail and go to the Settings tab.
  2. Tap Delete Account.
  3. Confirm when asked.

This permanently and immediately erases your caregiver account, every child profile under it, custom cards and photos, and all saved settings from Cottontail's servers. There's no waiting period and no dark patterns — once confirmed, it's gone.

Request deletion by email

If you no longer have the app installed, or can't get back into your account, you can request deletion by email instead.

Email privacy@cottontailapp.com from the address associated with your account, and let us know the username or caregiver email on the account. We'll confirm your identity and complete the deletion.

What gets deleted

  • Your caregiver account and login credentials
  • Every child profile, including custom cards, photos, and saved boards
  • Usage history and preferences stored on Cottontail's servers

Note: purchase records for Premium, Pro, or School are kept by Apple or Google under their own policies, since that's how in-app purchases work — Cottontail itself does not retain any separate billing or payment information.
